English

With the increasing complexity of financial environments and the rise in organizational fraud, the role of auditors in identifying and reporting these phenomena has become increasingly important. Meanwhile, although the use of modern technologies can improve the accuracy and efficiency of audit processes, the effectiveness of these tools largely depends on the individual characteristics and psychological conditions of auditors. One of the most critical factors is the psychological safety of auditors, which refers to the extent to which they feel secure in expressing their opinions, reporting violations, and exercising professional judgment without fear of negative consequences. This study aims to present a model to explain the consequences of auditors' psychological safety in the context of fraud detection. This research employs a correlational-survey approach, and data were collected through a questionnaire. SPSS and Smart PLS software were used for data analysis and testing the research model. The results indicate that auditors' individual characteristics, professional attitudes, and organizational environmental conditions play a significant role in enhancing psychological safety. Furthermore, psychological safety leads to improved audit quality and increased effectiveness in fraud detection by increasing the willingness to report fraud, strengthening professional skepticism, and enhancing audit judgment. This model can assist audit firms in improving fraud detection processes and enhancing financial transparency
